BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State University alumni that live in Watauga, Ashe or Avery counties are invited to attend Wednesday night's Appalachian men's basketball showdown versus defending Southern Conference champion East Tennessee State for FREE, as the Mountaineers host High Country Alumni Night at the Holmes Center. Tipoff between the Mountaineers and Buccaneers is slated for 7 p.m. High Country alums and one guest can receive complimentary admission to Wednesday's game by registering through the ASU Alumni Office at (828) 262-2038 or alumni@appstate.edu by noon on Wednesday, Jan. 5. Those emailing the ASU Alumni Office need to include name, name of guest, city of residence and email address. Appalachian (5-5, 0-1 SoCon), led by seniors Noah Brown and Chris McFarland, enters its first SoCon home date of the season with a perfect 5-0 record at the Holmes Center in 2004-05. ETSU, led by preseason SoCon Player of the Year Tim Smith, arrives in Boone with a 4-7 overall record and 0-1 mark in league play.
